Visiting Pula – Istra- Opatija – Bled and Postojna, Slovenia -Zagreb and Plitvice National Park

Day 1

Upon arrival check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Breakfast at hotel. Departure for a full day excursion to Pula, Rovinj and Poreč. The excursion includes: visit to the Arena amphitheatre and the Old City’s centre with the Roman Theatre, Golden Gate, the Cathedral of the Assumption and other places of interest. Leisure time for individual sightseeing in Rovinj & Poreč where one can see St. Euphemia’s Basilica in Rovinj and the complex of the Euphrasian Basilica in Poreč – built in the 6th century also inscribed on UNESCO List of World Heritage List. Overnight in the hotel in Opatija.

Day 3

After breakfast departure to Postojna, one of the largest and most beautiful caves of Europe. The mysterious Postojna cave world is the part of Slovenia which has been carved, shaped and created by water; deep within these caves hide the most precious beauty created through millions of years, drop by drop, year after year, through which you travel on a small electric train. We further proceed to Ljubljana, where we have the sightseeing tour of the capital city of Slovenia, which was ruled by the Habsburgs in the 14th century. Stroll along the Ljubljanica River, which flows through the center of the city where the National Gallery, museums, monuments, myriad stores and galleries await. Transfer to Bled for overnight.

Day 4

After breakfast drive to Bled, sightseeing tour of this fairy – tale town, a spectacular lakeside resort situated at the foot of the Julian Alps (the Holy Roman Emperor, Henry II, in the middle ages, presented Bled to the Bishop of Brixen). A medieval castle overlooks the jewel – like Lake Bled, fringed with sylvan shores and towering mountains. From the castle a small, verdant island in the middle of the lake can be seen – home of the White Tower and Red Roof of the Baroque style pilgrim Church of the Virgin’s Nativity. Take a gondola ride to the island. Climb the monumental staircase, which leads to the famous “Bell of Wishes,” dating back to 1534. Transfer to Opatija. Overnight.

Day 5

After breakfast city sightseeing tour of Zagreb. Walk through the historic “Upper Town”, visit to the church of St. Mark, the baroque church of St. Catherine, Parliament and the Government Palace, as well as the Zagreb Cathedral. Continue to Plitvice Lakes, Croatia’s largest national park and one of the most beautiful natural sights in Europe, declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage sight.. Overnight in Plitvice.

Day 6

After breakfast departure for Plitvice Lakes, inscribed on the List of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. explore one below another 16 beautiful lakes of crystal blue-green color that lie in a valley between high forested mountains and cascade into 92 spectacular waterfalls. Walk on the wooden promenades to view majestic waters where every turn leads to breathtaking scenery and yet another waterfall. Overnight in the hotel in Plitvice.

Day 7

After breakfast depart from Opatija stopping in Trsat, visit Holy mother Church and Trsat Castle. And then a stop in Crikvenica, located in the very center of the Kvarner Bay, the Crikvenica Riviera , can be called “the doorway to the Mediterranean”. Transfer to hotel in Opatija for dinner overnight.

Day 8

After breakfast departure home. Services: Halfboard, tourist tax, welcome drink, tour guide, tour of towns Pula, Poreč, Ljubljana, Bled, Zagreb, Crikvenica and Rijeka. Excursions to Postojna cave including train ride and Plitvice lakes, boat and train ride included.
